unfortunatly i had to leave canterbury after year 6 and i have now lived in Guildford for 5 years. i think i was in the class of 2004 and i left just before the new libary was built. i have lots of fond memorys of st.peters and i am sad to hear that a lot of teachers left after i left. encluding my year 6 teacher which i can not remeber the name of. i am currently just about to take my GCSE's at my school and i was trying to get in contact with anyone from my year to meet up before we move to 6th form. if you were in my class please contact me.so i can organise this.

Tom (Y6) 2009. School looked so wierd when I visited a few weeks ago. Virtually everything is different! School must seem like one giant building site now! Today I played in a 5 aside football tournament ang scored! For once it was just infront of the half- way line.We got through to the Semi-final.It was 0-0 at full time it went to penalties and lost1-0 oh no.But the team we played against fouled loads of people. I had fun though. You could also get sent- off then you would miss all the other matches.

I am going to put my hair in a mohawk. ARRGH MY HAIR IS TOO LONG THOUGH, need some really strong gel!!

Hmm, what's that Lauren wrote. She's doing childcare? We don't get anything unusual like that.

In fact I'll just be dropping geography and DT (Finally!). I'll be doing Latin, German, French, and probably Russian for my languages, so that should keep me busy.

I do apologise to Mrs.Hunt- I haven't been reading that much recently (I Still haven't finished Doctor Thorne). I did, however read The Pilgrim's Progress, which was quite good fun.

I haven't read much, because I've been a bit more busy doing some maths with the "Langton Institute for Young Mathematicians" (http://www.thelangtoninstitute.org/), where I am running an interesting project on a part of maths called "Queuing Theory", with which we will try to organise the lunch queues in the most effective way possible.
Well... we're trying to do that, but to understand large parts of Queuing Theory, one needs to at least have done A-Level Statistics. And even we're not that good. So... we're sort of getting a rough picture of how to improve using bits of Topology as well.

And then after I've finished that I've got to organise some dodgy "Rent-A-Pencil-Case" scheme that was suggested at the school council meeting. This will involve people being able to rent out pencil cases for the day from the school library. A rather strange idea.

And after that I've got at least three concerts in the next month, in which I'll be playing at least six solos, and I've got two music exams.

So, yes, I'm pretty busy at the moment.

And that doesn't even take into account my current job of putting on a Mr.Blobby costume and going about the place scaring babies.

Ah, well, I hope you are all fine over at St.Peter's. And, just out of interest, whatever happened to the Year Sixes Vs. Staff Netball game?

Ho hum.... I suppose I'll see you at the Easter Fair, where I'll win all the Easter Eggs, and force you all to watch me eat them.

ARGHHH! So close to the end of the year already. Well done to the year sixes for their production, very nice. And a quick word of advice to anyone going to the Boy's Langton:

STAY AWAY FROM THE LOCKERS ON THE 1st FLOOR OF THE E-BLOCK!!! There's on that you can fit a person into-It's possible to get locked in one for several hours, it's happened before!

I was delighted and impressed to listen to the Class one students' poetry reading. I could not be at the assembly to watch them and this was a great way to compensate for it. Let's have more of this interactive relationship with the students - it's wonderful for 'absent' parents and grandparents!

On the 28th of April I was in a football match with George,Tanaka,William,Jack,Dan,Luke & Sam. In the first couple of minutes I charged down on the right wing and vollyed a cross to George and then George volled it in the back of the of the net. Then in the second half they scored a goal but then because it was 1-1 George was in the box from inside my half I ran past about 5 players and then got shirt pulled but I past the ball to George who scored. We were all tired out.

I hope all of Year 6 have a good rest over half term. Thank you for being such good company in Hardelot - we had a great time didn't we? I was exhausted when I got back and have slept lots more than usual! The food in my house seems very dull now - no baguettes or fromage!

I'm sure it was your idea Arthur but all ideas take a while to come to fruition! Actually it's proving very difficult to find the right clock. It needs to be an outdoor clock, large (to be seen from a distance,) anaolgue but not Roman numerals (because the younger children find that hard,) and not too expensive. Does anyone have any ideas?

On 24th March my football team Sturry Blues played a match against Herne Bay at Herne Bay High School.The players on my team were called Jack,Dan,Ben and Sam are brothers, Conor,Tanaka,Luke and me. It was my first proper football match and I was wearing number 4 - Stephen Gerrard's number. I scored the first goal. And then Tanaka scored a goal then Jack scored for 3-0.Then Dan scored a goal then Jack scored again.It was 5-0 at half time Herne Bay were a better team after half time they scored 2 goals then we got a free kick I taped it to Dan then he pelted it in the back of the net.Although we had 2 injuries Jack was injured Ben or Sam was injured they came back on the and Jack scored again.The final score was 7-2 to sturry Blues

I have just seen your website and recently saw the school one Saturday on a visit to Canterbury. I used to teach there in 1977 to 81 and have great memories of my time there and the pupils. I always felt it was like a big family and a special place to be. It's certainly changed a lot now. In my time the headteachers were Mr Byers and Mr Cain and everyone who was there at that time will remember Mr Duncan (Dunc). Just wanted to wish you all the best for the new school year.

Hello and good luck for the new term! Thank-you so much for all the wonderful good byes, cards and gifts. It was quite emotional! I am slowly getting used to living on the other side of the world and have been working in some primary schools here in Blenheim. All the children take their shoes off before going into school here, very strange. It's the beginning of spring and there are a lot of lambs jumping around the fields. Helloo people class 4 have just done a brilliant topic it is the best one i ever did ... Circus. The first day we were going to perform a coach picked us up from school most of us went completely hyper and well started singing songs really loudly and waving at random people. It was wicked! I am very pleased to hear that you are all working hard and enjoying this term. I still miss you all! I can't wait to be back. When I do come back we will be learning about the St. Peter's local area in Geography, which you will all enjoy, and we do an excellent project in art all about patterns! You could start some research over half term about where patterns are commonly found, in nature, buildings - anywhere you can think of! If you collect some pictures or examples that would be great, so we can make a cool pattern display. We will also be learning about magnets and springs in Science - and we will do some fun experiments! (I will give you a clue, we use a breakfast cereal and a magnet for one very messy, exciting investigation!)
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the rest of this half term, and are the well-behaved, hard-working, fun bunch I know for all your teachers that are working so hard with you at the moment.

Hello to all the past pupils who have been writing to the site. It is lovely to see that you are still interested in St Peter's and to read your fond memories. You're right, there have been some staff changes but we would still love to see you if you want to visit. A special hello to the classes of 2003 and 2004 who I know and remember. I'm glad you are all getting on well at your secondary school - keep up with the homework.

At the moment work has just begun a small extension to provide a library! This will take up about half of the courtyard area and should be great! We're very excited about having a dedicated space to browse through our books and work in groups. Do you remember our current library in the corridor? The building should be finished in September so do come and visit in the Autumn term to look around.

We would love to set up a past pupils page. If you are interested you need to send details in to us and then watch this space.

On our home computer the Links button dosen't show up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is probably due to the set up on your PC - you need to change the display settings to a smaller size!

I was previously a pupil there for two years ('47-'48 I think) after attending the Mangravet school in Maidstone, while my father was the police Inspector in charge at Canterbury. I won a scholarship to Kent College, though my final two years of High School were at the Skinners' Company School at Tunbridge Wells (again due to my father's situation). I certainly don't recall any soccer while I was at "The Methodist School", in fact we had some fairly rough games in the courtyard where we would throw cricket balls at boys running across, and then take turns. Also more sedate games with conkers, cards, milk bottle tops etc. I have been in Australia since December 1955, and am a fervent Australian Football fan (involved in gorund marking and timekeeping as part of my leisure interests). Australian football is only payed in a few clubs in theUK at present, and I would love to see it take off in some schools (particulary The Methodist School and Kent College), as it is in some American and South African schools now. Its a far better game than soccer, or even Rugby in my opinion. If I ever get back to the UK, I hope to look up my old schools, even though Kent College is co-educational now (shock, horror). WOW!!!!!
The Egg Cam provided us with a fantastic end to the term. The chicks look so strange when they first hatch - all dark, wet and wobbly! However, as the hours have gone by today they have got more cute and yellow!!

hello class of 2005. i used to go to st.peters in 2001, it was the best. now i go to secondary school and there is alot of homework. so little kiddys listen to ur teachers and plays loads of games of it round the play ground!!!!!!

i loved st.peters soooo much, its come on a lot over the years, but i still think the best, legendary days were the ones with the mobiles!! They were so fun!! you could run round them and play 52 bunker!! a classic game...im sure you will all agree anna, dilly, tal roxy etc.:)

Ive been in hospital too, I had three needles which were really painfull ouch!!!!!!!!!
I'm on the mend now though. My ear was bleeding, and I have to take these massive tablets Yuck!!!!!!!!

On 13/11/04 me and my Dad and Brother went to Andfield. We watched Liverpool v Crystal palace.
Baros scored a hat trick. The score was 3-2 to Liverpool. Baros scored at the 23rd 45th and the 92nd mins we had 3 min extra time.

Hello everyone - how are you all?

A special hello to Zoe, Jack, Niamh and Louisa - thank you so much for sending me your lovely messages; it was great to hear from you!

Firstly, sorry that I'm not back at school with you all just yet! I saw the doctor last week and he said that I really needed to rest my leg lots so that it would get better. I guess I was probably trying to do a bit too much walking around on it too soon. Anyway, over the last few days I've been sat at home with my leg up on a table - taking really good care of it. I'm getting used to the crutches now but the problem is that Caitlin and Luke keep on stealing them for a joke and then playing sword fights with them!

How is everything going at school? I have spoken a few times to Mrs. Townsend and she says that everyone is doing well and learning lots!

I hope you are all keeping the classroom tidy too - you know how tidy I am! If not, you'd better have a really good tidy up before I come back.

Some of the footballers are probably worried about the matches that we have to play in the league before 31st January. Don't worry - I've got it under control - we'll just have to play a match every week when I get back!!

Well done to Louisa and Soma who I hear have started Gym at Canterbury High. Superb!!!!!! Does anyone else from St. P's go?

Have you checked out the website properly yet? I think it's looking great!! I've been working on it over the last few days. What do you think? Write a guestbook entry to let me know!! Also get your thinking caps on. I want to develop the Class 5 section of the site. There are lots of pages for us to fill so I need lots of bright ideas!!

Anyway, I must go now - it's getting late and Caitlin and Luke always wake up so early!!
