We are an OUTSTANDING church school

On 21st June we had our statutory School Inspection of Anglican and Methodist schools (SIAMS) inspection. All faith schools are subject to SIAMS inspections. This is in addition to Ofsted inspections, and the inspector reports on the ‘distinctiveness and effectiveness of St Peter’s as a Methodist school’. The report focuses on three areas;

  • How the school, through its distinctiveness Christian character, is meeting the needs of all learners
  • The impact of collective worship on the school community
  • The effectiveness of the leadership and management of the school as a church school

Based on the evidence provided, visiting worship and lessons, conversations with children, parents, staff and governors, and what the inspector sees and experiences around the school, each area is then graded as Inadequate, Satisfactory, Good or Outstanding.

We are  incredibly proud and pleased to share with you that St Peter’s Methodist Primary School has been judged as Outstanding in ALL areas.
