24. Medicines in School

Medicines should not be brought into school unless it is absolutely necessary.  We understand, however, that there are some medicines (generally asthma inhalers) which may need to be in school.  For younger children these must be in the care of the School Office or Class Teacher.

Children may not have medicines in class unless they are carrying essential inhalers.

To ensure the safety and welfare of all our children we need to be quite sure who has medicines at school.  If you wish medicines to be administered in school you will need to sign a form giving your permission.  All medicines must be clearly marked with the child’s name and handed into the School Office.
