Christian Distinctiveness

Our pupils staff and governors have all been involved in developing our Christian Values.

It is these values that form the foundations at St Peter's and underpin everything we do.

We celebrate them during our daily worship and explore them through our RE lessons.

Most importantly, we live them out in everything we do.

We have 10 Christian Values:

Friendship

Proverbs Chapter 17 verse 17 ‘A friend loves at all times’.

Thankfulness

1 Chronicles chapter 16 verse 34 ‘Give thanks to the Lord for he is good’

Love and Compassion

Psalm 116 verse 5 'The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.'

Hope

Romans chapter 15 verse 13 ‘May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.’

Truth and Trust

Proverbs Chapter 3 verse 5 ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart’.

Forgiveness

Matthew Chapter 6 verse 14 'If you forgive others the wrongs they have done to you, your Father in Heaven will also forgive you.'

Tolerance

Psalm 133 verse 1 ‘How wonderful it is when brothers live together in harmony’.

Reverence

Psalm 95 verse 6 ‘Come, let us bow down in worship. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker’.

Respect

Matthew Chapter 7 verse 12 ‘So in everything, do unto others as you would have them do to you’.

Joy

Our school rules are John Wesley's rule. These are discussed during every worship, displayed around the school and linked to our Behaviour for Learning policy.
