St Peter’s News 8th March 2019
Doing all the good we can through faith, love and excellence

  • We have really enjoyed our Book Week 2019! Mrs Pickles and Mrs Hunt have worked really hard to fill the week with lots of exciting activities and opportunities for the children. It was wonderful to see so many children dressed up on Monday, so thank you for getting involved and supporting us!
  • Yesterday evening, Mums and Dads from our PTFA hosted a Magic Man show for EYFS & KS1, and then a disco for KS2. It was a real pleasure for staff and teachers to run these events as a team, and whilst our ears are still ringing, we had a lot of fun with photo booths, neon face paint and crazy games! Thank you to everyone involved for creating such fantastic events for our children. Safe to say, they loved it!
  • Watch out for a letter on Monday with more details about our upcoming Parent Teacher Consultations and how you can book an appointment to see your child’s class teacher.

In our collective worship this week we have been thinking about the theme of “Inspiration” and have enjoyed a lovely range of assembly leaders during our Book Week. Mrs Pickles launched Book Week with a hall full of characters, our Year 6 Librarians led an assembly, Reverend Tim came to share his thoughts, we had a visit from Canterbury Kidz Club and the Shakespeare Club performed.

We always finish our time of collective worship by saying John Wesley’s rule together. It’s a great way to start the day!
Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.
