Class 3

Welcome back class 3! I hope you all had a lovely rest over half term. All the staff in class 3 think you are doing really well and making great progress back at school. We have lots of things planned for the run up to Christmas, so hopefully we will have a fantastic term full of fun and learning!

Just a reminder that children will need to bring a water bottle into school every day. Please can this be clearly labelled with their name. The children are also more than welcome to bring a snack into school, but please can this be healthy - a piece of fruit or some vegetables (like cucumber or carrots sticks) is fine. Nothing with nuts in, please.

PE is on Thursdays and Fridays, so please make sure that your child has their PE kit in school on those days. Could each piece of kit be clearly labelled.

To contact Miss Bailey, please either contact the school office, or email using the address below:

If your child has to isolate for 2 weeks, please refer to the home learning packs at the bottom of the class page under the 'Home Learning Week 1' and 'Home Learning Week 2' tabs. Usual homework is now under the 'Homework' tab.

Homework

Home learning suggestions for topic up until Christmas have been sent home in your child's home learning book. Please let one of the year 3 team know if this has gone missing and we can sort out a replacement.

English

It is important that the children keep working on their reading skills at home. Please try to read with your child for even just 5 minutes a day, or stick their weekly spellings on the fridge door or somewhere they will be noticeable.

A big focus this year is catching children up on what they missed during lockdown, and so anything like reading and writing that you can do at home will really help going forward.
