Home Learning

All children are asked to undertake work at home in support of their learning. Parents can help by listening to and reading with their child - this is vital at all ages.

Equally important is allowing time to talk about your child’s book with them to enable them to make sense of what they have read and develop higher-order reading skills.

Parents can also support the learning of number facts and tables and encourage children to develop good attitudes towards written tasks. The expectations for work undertaken at home increase as children progress through the school.  More detail can be found in our Home Learning Policy which can be downloaded from our school website.
