Our Ethos, Values, Aims & Motto
Our school and grounds provide exciting places to learn and play.
We have a sunny, well resourced library, a sensory room, a music room, a well equipped Computing room and bright and colourful classrooms.
A wide range of exciting outdoor activities include our fantastic forest school, an outdoor theatre with musical instruments, an adventure trail, artificial grass area, vegetable plots and a secret story garden.
These resources support our excellent team of teachers, teaching assistants and support staff who work together to ensure that we fulfil our school mission statement and meet our aims.
Our Mission Statement
“Doing all the good we can through faith, love and excellence”
St. Peter’s staff do all ‘the good we can’ by putting the children at the centre of all that we do and the decisions we make to create an inclusive, caring environment, with a family feel amongst our community.
Our aims
We aim to do this through:
- Faith We aim to provide an excellent education in a secure and Christian learning environment for all members of our school. Although our roots lie in Methodism we welcome children of different religions and cultural backgrounds. We promote the Christian Values of our school and the links to the church and local community
- Love We aim to care for all of our children by offering a high level of pastoral support. Only when children feel safe, happy and secure are they in a position to access the education on offer. We work as a team putting the children first and we welcome the partnership with parents and the local authority and involvement in the local community.
- Excellence We aim to inspire and motivate all of our pupils to create curious learners so that they learn whilst developing essential skills and knowledge for their future. We provide an all-round excellent curriculum that celebrates all achievements. We learn together. We use the outside environment as much as possible to improve learning. We believe each that each child is a unique individual and that the first years of school are the most important as they lay the foundations for learning.
“Let all that you do be done in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:14
