Safeguarding

We are committed to maintaining and promoting safeguarding at St Peter’s.

The welfare and safety of all our children is the highest priority for all staff and governors and every effort is taken to ensure that our school is secure and safe, recruitment procedures are rigorous and policies and procedures are up to date and relevant.

All staff undertake annual training (and receive regular updates) to ensure that they implement and understand all school policies and procedures linked to keeping children safe.

This focus, alongside our warm, supportive ethos, helps children to feel safe within school.

The Designated Safeguarding Leads at St Peter’s are the Headteacher Mrs Dyer, the Deputy Head Mr Wood, and the Family Liaison Officer Denise Pearson. Staff and parents can talk to them about any welfare or child safety concerns.

If you have an urgent safeguarding concern, please contact the school to discuss this with Mrs Dyer the safeguarding lead. You can also contact the NSPCC on 0800 800 5000 if you are concerned about the welfare of a child.

Who can help at St Peter's?

These posters are displayed all around our school to support the children and let them know we are here to keep them safe.
